We’re getting ready for some big changes at Pensacola International Airport, with a variety of new food and beverage options coming soon for your convenience, including Einstein Bros. Bagels, Freshëns, Pensacola Beach House, and Chick-fil-A.
The demolition and construction process is underway, and our new vendors will be in place before you know it. Both Chick-fil-A and the pre-security Einstein Bros. are slated to open by September 30, with the post-security food court opening the following month.
With only temporary facilities in place, our new concessionaire is already performing well, with May sales outpacing the previous vendor’s sales the same month last year. This is critical – the more non-airline revenue we can generate, the less our airport will have to charge airlines, which in turn allows us to better compete for new air service and hopefully leads to lower ticket prices.
Pensacola International Airport is a tremendous asset for our city and an economic engine for our region. Over the past three years, we’ve brought UPS and Southwest Airlines to the airport. We’ve added new destinations and increased seat capacity. We’ve made it easier than ever to Fly Easy, Fly Pensacola – and we are just getting started.
