Regional Partners to Host ST Aerospace Dialogue

Event Aims to GaugeJ Evaluate Employment Qualifications of Area Residents

GREATER PENSACOLA, Fla. - March 13, 2014- In an effort to recruit and train the region's prospective aviation/aerospace workforce, CareerSource Escarosa - in collaboration with the Greater Pensacola Chamber, Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola Fleet and Family Support Center, the City of Pensacola, Escambia County, Pensacola State College and other community partners - will be hosting a free information and recruitment session next week for individuals looking to learn more about career opportunities with ST Aerospace Mobile, Inc.

Attendees who meet certain minimum-skill qualifications will have access to ST Aerospace's human resources staff, who will be on site to answer questions regarding current employment opportunities at their facility in Mobile, Ala. Multiple openings are currently available for aircraft maintenance inspectors, avionics mechanics, structure/sheet metal mechanics, and interiors mechanics.

Representatives from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, George Stone Technical Center and Pensacola State College will also be on site to provide information on aeronautical programs for individuals interested in future employment with ST Aerospace but lack the required credentials.

The free event will take place on Thursday, March 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Thomas G. Delano Student Center at Pensacola State College, 1000 College Blvd ., Bldg. S. Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT) bus service is scheduled to run from the Downtown Transfer Center- in front of City Hall - to the campus from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

ST Aerospace Mobile, Inc. is an integrated service provider that engages in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft products. The company currently employs more than 1,300 workers at its Mobile location and has plans to construct a satellite operation inside the Pensacola International Airport Commerce Park that would produce up to 300 jobs.
