Jay Tusa brings 23 years of experience in the travel industry to his role as the Assistant Airport Director – Strategy & Development at Pensacola International Airport. With a strong background in economic development, policymaking, and marketing, Mr. Tusa leads the charge in expanding air service, implementing customer service strategies, driving marketing initiatives, and fostering strategic partnerships.
Having held key positions such as Executive Director for Visit South Walton, Corporate Director of Hospitality Marketing for The St. Joe Company, and Director of Communications and Research for the Louisiana Office of Tourism, Mr. Tusa possesses a comprehensive understanding of the travel industry.
Mr. Tusa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Loyola University New Orleans. He has also earned certifications as a Certified Destination Management Executive from Destinations International, a Travel Marketing Professional from the Southeast Tourism Society, and a Certified Travel Industry Specialist from the American Bus Association.
