Spirit Airlines Launches New Seasonal Nonstop Service from Pensacola to Houston

Pensacola International Airport (PNS) is excited to announce a new nonstop service option to Houston (IAH) from Spirit Airlines, launching just in time for summer travel. Spirit will operate the route twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting July 9 through August 12, 2025, making it easier for summer travelers seeking a quick and affordable getaway to Texas—or a coastal escape to Pensacola’s award-winning beaches.

Houston becomes the latest addition to Spirit’s growing network at PNS, which also includes service to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Orlando (MCO), and Detroit (DTW).

“Spirit Airlines continues to be a strong partner as we expand connectivity for our region,” said Matt Coughlin, Executive Director of Pensacola International Airport. “This new service to Houston adds more choice and convenience for our passengers—whether they’re heading to Texas or coming to enjoy everything Pensacola has to offer.”

“Summer is a great time for travelers to explore new destinations, and our new seasonal service between Houston and Pensacola makes it even easier to experience all that Pensacola has to offer,” said John Kirby, Vice President of Network Planning at Spirit Airlines. “We look forward to helping more visitors soak up the sun and discover Pensacola’s beautiful beaches this summer.”

Houston has long been a key market for Pensacola, and Spirit’s entrance on this route supports growing demand while providing travelers with more competitive fare options.
