Flying Into Pensacola From The Bahamas, Mexico, and Canada
Pensacola International Airport is a “landing rights” airport with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, allowing aircraft operators to land at the facility provided certain requirements are complied with. These requirements can be found at www.cbp.gov under “Pleasure Boats and Private Flyers”.
Contact must be made with U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Pensacola to receive landing rights and to coordinate the estimated arrival time. Additionally, if arriving from areas south of the United States such as Mexico or the Bahamas, aircraft operators must have a valid overflight exemption on file with U.S. Customs and Border Protection in addition to receiving landing rights. Be advised, there are advance notice requirements for overflight exemptions and for landing rights requests and these must be adhered to.
