Airport Summer Marketing internship
Administrative and professional work helping to manage and coordinate multiple aspects of Pensacola International Airport’s marketing, advertising, public relations, media relations, and communications program. Work is performed under the direction of the Airport Marketing Manager.
MARKETING INTERN ASSISTS IN:
- Development and awareness of the Pensacola Airport brand by ensuring a consistent brand image across all customer touchpoints
- Monitoring the marketing activities of other airlines and the travel industry to recognize trends and analyze trends to gauge their effectiveness.
- Coordinating the promotion of all services and opportunities offered by the airport and the development and implementation of specific marketing efforts.
- Maintaining a calendar of important project and airline milestones in order to proactively coordinate and anticipate communications and public relations needs.
- The preparation of press releases, brochures, memoranda, letters, reports, the airport’s electronic newsletter, and other internal or external communications.
- Management indoor print and digital advertising, informational displays and signage, and public art.
- Management of and ensures the currency and accuracy of information on the airport’s website and social media accounts, and responds to public inquiries and comments as needed and directed.
- Working with advertising agencies and vendors, as needed
- Coordinating, planning, and organizing events, presentations, meetings, etc. at the Airport other areas
- Performs related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and various marketing applications
- Knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign)
- Knowledge of graphic and layout design
- Ability to maintain social media accounts
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports
- Ability to speak and write effectively and clearly
- Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public
- Ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions.
While performing the duties of this job, the intern is regularly required to use hands and fingers to hold or feel, reach with hands and arms, walk, talk and hear. The intern is occasionally required to stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, and crouch. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Some jobs may require intern to be exposed to outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions.
